Made ZERO sense for the hornets to give gordon the max.. Should've just Did a sign and trade for a first round pick.I like the ryan anderson acquisition..
Kinda hard to do a sign and trade with a team that's not gonna negotiate with you for a player. Either they matched or they didn't. Once the offer sheet got signed any S&T talk was dead on the spot.

I'd say it's pretty unbelievable that teams were actually fighting over offering him a max contract considering he's never proved to even be a 60 game a year player. He's also never won anything. He's insanely overpaid and a potential risk to the long term future of the Hornets with his max salary locked up and it being unlikely they'll get anything close to max production out of him over the course of that deal.
At that point he'll be 27. Not a bad thing at all.
