Shibata Vs Ishii was amongst the first NJPW matches I watched so I'll always have a soft spot for them.

Ibushi is also crazy with his kicks

Shibata gotta chill with the head butts though

But otherwise, most of the matches under this "style" are

I mean, hating the Shibata headbutts is understandable, but the rest of his stuff is just fine even though its stiff. Its a cultural thing.

There is a reason that almost every match on the top 10 this year comes from Japan.

I just got AXS through Sling TV (with El Rey and USA, the service carries a variety of wrestling for a solid price), and Barnett seems alright.

I'm sure we agree JR is no Mauro, and appears out of his element now. Shame.

I think guys who think Strong Style is an actual style where you have to hit each other as hard as possible to show how real bad ass you are instead of understanding that it was just a buzzword that Inoki thought cool are doing a real disservice to themselves and their brains. Imagine going out of your way to destroy your brain fighting for an ideal that never existed in a fake sport.

People get worked into a shoot all the time. shyt, the "original" strong style lead to shoot style and legit MMA in Japan
