I know this eventually happens to everyone Every once and awhile. I like the way lifting makes me look but it’s coming to that point again where the gym is starting to feel like a chore.

How do you guys remedy this? I usually just stop going for a few months but I don’t want to go that route this time.

You have to find something new to do. If it feels like a chore, then most likely you not someone who enjoys the gym in general. I can work my ass off in the gym, but I don't enjoy the gym like some people. So my plan for when I get close to my weight goal is to also incorporate wall climbing. I should also reach my goal around when it starts getting warmer out. My stepfather wants to workout more, so I'm going to see if he wants to set up a workout area in the backyard. Maybe get a large tire, a mace to do some wood chopping exercises with.

Weights is my therapy. If you only lift for vanity purposes you'll feel like it's a chore. Instead of paying a therapist I go to the gym.

Weights are my therapy too but cmon man there always will a come a point your a lil tired of it and need a brief break

On my off day from the gym I be looking forward to getting back to it. I love the shyt breh. shyt is only a job if you don't love it. At this point I can honestly say I love it more than sex.

Switch things up, brother. Lifting is supposed to be fun. At the very least, it should make you feel better. When I get in a funk, I switch shyt up and drop whatever program I'm following at the time and just do anything that I feel like doing at the gym. Whether it's cardio, kettlebells, or what have you. If you've been training like a bodybuilder, switch it up and maybe train as a power lifter (strength gains :shaq:) or as an athlete (more explosive, intense type workouts). But the most important thing is to not let it snowball into throwing you completely off track. Good luck.

:salute:

You need to have discipline. Push through the feeling and continue on with your day. After the workout get your a plate and you will feel better then you did before you started.

I was definitely hating it during the summer when I was cutting carbs and eating in a calorie deficit.

But now that I'm getting my calories back up I love it again :lift:
