I think most of us knew professional and collegiate sports are deeply rooted in racism just like every other system in America.

Racism is embedded in every fabric of American society. Every product you consume has piece of racism connected to it.

We can boycott businesses that are the most egregious in terms of oppression, but the money will go somewhere else that is in part supporting a racist entity.

I could go to a black barber but who manufactured the clippers. I can go to a black restaurant, but who manufactured the ovens. I can download music from a fully independent black artist, but who made the equipment he recorded on.

Of course, we need to circulate our dollars in the community more, but to forego something that is highly entertaining to replace it with something that also benefits from racism, is not really going to have much of an impact.
