It depends on the type of flower(s).
A single rose on our first "official" date is sweet. But like if we are just still getting to know each other/feeling each other out then I'd rather just grab some food, ice cream or coffee in jeans and a hoodie. In that case where its more casual a simple daisy or carnation would be nice.

If it's a first date, I'm still deciding if I like you. If you spend a bunch of money on me, I'm gonna feel guilty for wasting your time, money and effort if it doesn't work out. Id rather we just enjoy spending time together.
But then again my love language is quality time, not gifts. I'm not big on gifts.
