GOATEN was grown at the end of Z. GT 2.0 does not line up continuity wise with the ending of Z and is why I don't even acknowledge it. Also it's fax GOATKU was dead during both his son's child hoods. And the blame could technically be placed on Vegeta in both instances

Goku got killed the first time because he let go of Raditz's tail. His fault. If Goku wanted to kill Cell he could've went into the RoSaT first. It was his fight in the first place. And if it wasn't for Vegeta there would be no Trunks so Goku would've been dead before Cell even showed up.
