I’m confused. What does transplants have to do with real Atlanta folks cooking soul food?
There aren't as many "real" Atlanta folks with restaurants like it used to be because folks are dying off and cooking traditions are not being passed down like they used to.

Chicago is the same way. There was a time when a rib shack was a 5 minute drive away no matter where you were in the city. Not any more.

Maybe but either way you act like they a soul food hub like memphis or nola. Hell there's prolly more competition in Houston than Dallas just off the fact they've preserved their black culture better than Dallas.
The shyt you saying really doesn't matter...
Black culture in Atlanta is a lot more prevalent than it is in Dallas yet the black food in Dallas(and Los Angeles) is better than the black food in Atlanta

And idk about soul food as a whole but the fried chicken I've had in Texas is better Than the chicken I've had in Memphis
