I always thought it would be a good idea to start a "Beat Club" thread. Something similar to what they do in the film room but instead we would choose an album and strictly dissect and critique the beats on the project.

I'd say my style is really a fusion. I started as strictly a sampling, more east coast style beats, but eventually I implemented other influences like playing with synths, implementing trap style drums, while still bringing in sampling. So now its kind of a mash up of sampling, synths, drum breaks, and trap influences. The beat above is a pretty good example of what I mean.
This is a cool idea man.

Aight breh. If you wanna start this off go on ahead. You can pick the first producer or album to have the group critique session on. Just tag everybody in here that you know is active and will support it. Once you do that. I can go ahead and sticky it for the week. Just label it something like " Beat Club" Week 1 "Insert Album Name" I guess try to have something by Sunday if possible.
Every week we can have someone choose a new producer or album for everybody to analyze. The only thing is you gotta participate each time in order to eventually get the opportunity to choose something. So nikkas can't decide to take a break for a week if someone chooses some trap shyt or something that's mad obscure or weird sounding that they think they won't want to listen. This should help to broaden everyone's scope on production.

Yeah I like this. I think it def. helps out a producer's mindset if he's always listening beats/music from all forms of hip hop or just general music genres period.
i listen a lot more than i post, in spurts. im pretty sure there are points where ive heard everything on the first page.
i do show love on other social media when i spot yall out there
i do get inspired by a lot of ideas here
as far as collabos, the way i create frustrates people so i stopped doing it. i hate being on a timeline, i just create when i feel like it
i lost several contacts that way, people feeling like i blew them off
here is something i love i did for my wife some years ago. its still my style, obscured samples that retain some familiarity and melody. samples 112's now that we're done and faith's soon as i get home
