If the preseason is any indicator the exact same thing will happen this season. Those most attempts Kobe had in a game so far is 18 and that was with Pau and Howard not playing and Nash only playing 12 minutes.

The one time the Lakers starting 5 played together none of the starters had more than 12 attempts.

The Lakers starting five will have NO problems offensively.

He may defer more but he may not. After the Chris Paul trade was shut down last year, Kobe said he would have been shooting 40 times a game with all of the open looks CP3 would have got him.

I don't think Kobe's shot attempts are really a turning point this season anyway. No matter how they play, it will be impossible to maximize everyone's talents simultaneously. Nash has been roleplayer status with minimized ballhandling duties. If Kobe defers more to Dwight and Nash, his own numbers will drop too.
