I didnt ask you who is going to pay for it, i already know taxpayers will pay for it. I asked you what other domestic programs would you cut in order to pay for this trillion dollar expense, unless you believe that domestic programs wont have to be cut to pay for it?

My bad

Well honestly I do not really know. I was just thinking of the big picture. If this was successful it definitely would be a good look.

I'm not optimistic.

How much can he really do with a Republican house? They're just gonna block everything on principle. Plus, he seems more worried about being "bipartisian" and trying to please the Republicans (who will always hate him anyway) than really pushing through things his base wants.

Thats the thing breh....remember my keyword "decriminilize" not legalize. Maybe im being hopeful but i keep getting that feeling he will do something . I mean he signed that law to go from the 100:1 ratio to 18:1 ratio for crack and powder cocaine but i think he is gonna do something about marijuana.

But like i said i think decriminilization and not fully legalization. Remember decriminlization is just removing penalties for weed. Then he is gonna do the "let the states decide" thing that he has done with things like gay marriage.

He basically does his parts and does the "have the states do their part" thing he does.

yeah ive heard the whole black president thing being the first to end the drug war shyt. That is why i think he wants to finish things like gun control, climate change, and dream act first so he doesn't have people say he has not done anything

Barack Obama on Marijuana Decriminalization (2004) - YouTube

yea i feel u, shyt im in mass n we decrim'd up to a zip. 100 dollar ticket

What do you think has the best chance to be passed before the midterms? What laws? Do you think its gonna be the big three of the Dream Act, climate change, and gun control?

Well, Republicans are worried about the latino vote these days so I can see the Dream Act getting through.

Getting something significant passed on gun control will be tough because of how powerful the NRA is, so I dunno about that. And I haven't really seen anything from Obama indicating he'll really even try to do anything on global warming, though I'd love to be proven wrong.

Yeah I can see them being tough at first even with Dream Act, because they want to see if Obama would break easily and go with their wack ass "Stem Bill", but I think in the end they will see he is serious about Dream Act and sign that.

With gun control, although some people may consider it "using politics"(which is dumb because everything a president does has to do with politics) or its tacky, I can see Obama having the parents and families of the victims of Sandy Hook behind him while he is trying to convince the Republicans to sign.

Climate change i am confused about because I notice NOBODY every explains to people what exactly would legislation look like. They just repeat climate change over and over again.

Well I think he definitely is serious this time around with mentioning like every second in his recent speeches. I know he did the same thing in his 1st term, but cap and trade was blocked.
