I tripped across this music like a week ago, right. Went and looked at reviews or whatever cause I was digging it. It's not ZOMG great, but I been jamming it for the whole week. It's getting pretty good reviews from all the usual places (re: "cac reviewers"). Some folks are calling it one of the best albums of the year.
Here's the thing, though. It's supposedly not a band. It's supposedly just ONE GIRL. 22 years old. From the Bay Area.
She apparently wrote all the songs, played all the instruments, recorded, mixed and mastered the whole shyt herself, from a home made studio she built in her bedroom at her parent's house. She's apparently been doing it for a while and only got discovered once she got drunk and uploaded a bunch of her music (her last album) to soundcloud. Hell of a story, right.
Now, my question to you, since you got good diverse taste in music... is she an indy plant or nah

Interesting story and background. But as for the question, I don't know if she's a "indy plant" or not. But I honestly don't care about shyt like that.
I either like the music or don't and keep it moving.

I only skimmed some of The Bus Song cause I'm watching a documentary right now, but it sounds ok.

Same. I was always a west coast, g-funk type of person :studiogangsta: only started getting into east coast hip-hop about a year ago. Cuban Linx took a couple of listens for me to understand what the fuss was about
