I'm not sure yet until we see their weekly product but just a small thing i'll point out is that instead of having titantron videos that are synced with the entrance music, a lot of times they have some looping shyt with the person's name and a graphic not synced to anything.
Little details like that you can't slide on if you're serious about competing with WWE.

Also a lot of what they do and say tells me they have no qualms with making decisions in the interest of "social justice" instead of always prioritizing putting forth the best pro wrestling show possible.
For example: opening a show with sonny kiss or featuring nyla rose even though neither one of them are proven and you got more skilled and experienced people on the roster.

We'll see

Pros: It's a new wrestling company on a major network

Cons:
Lack Of stars
Smark bait gimmicks
No heel/ face consistency
Us Vs Them mentality
An obsession with poking the bear (WWE)
Day One loyalist mentality
Wrestling over storylines and characters (Indie strong style, honor, epics for all the stars)

Overall I hope things work out for them but their lack of depth, stars are going to hurt them. Let's not ignore WWE putting their developmental brand NXT on television where they don't even have to beat AEW just siphone some fans. Moxley one of their few viable main eventers is out and who's going to replace him? AEW fans already complaining about The Bucks wrestling The Lucha Bros all the time. No exclusive contracts and borrowing talent They're sharing talent with AAA and having to build Adam Page up as a main eventer. PAC cancelled on them at the last moment because of obligations to another company. Using Tye Dillenger goofy ass as a threat. It's like this whole thing hinges on the great WWE migration or what if they sign CM Punk rather than what's already on the table.

- quick question: are you a wrestling fan or a WWE fan??

- theyre not lacking stars at all.

- the day one loyalist mentality is whats gonna keep them afloat.
putting your day ones on the backburner has proven to be suicide time & time again.

- theres millions of wrestling fans who prefer wrestling over storylines and have been craving such a style to be presented on a big stage again for years.

- theres nothing developmental about NXT. the show is filled with people who were established stars in the wrestling world before they got there. same with AEW.
and the reason NXT siphons AEW's viewers is because NXT is geared towards the same exact type of audience that's a fan of AEW.
if you put AEW on Monday night, a lot of those same viewers aren't even checking for raw.

now as for my critique of AEW, they need better champions and more belts.

they have a dope rankings system in place, but its rendered pointless as most wrestlers are basically fighting for nothing in regards to their rankings.

they have a middle-aged world champion who barely defends the belt, and when he does, he can barely move. they better put that belt on moxley next week.
they have a man carrying the woman's chip.
and a make-shift tag team holding the belts over a crowded tag division - altho, to their credit, theyre earning their keep with their matches.

they need to bring in a secondary strap
and also a hardcore championship since they have a lot of extreme wrestlers who are out there killing themselves for nothing.
sign some more cruiserweights and get a division going. I figured they were waiting for marty scurll. well he aint coming, but they aint make no other moves in that direction.

whats even more crazy is how theyre running this bootleg NWO stable under Jericho but nobody is competing for any belts.
theyre literally putting every big free agent debut under Jericho, and it seems like theyre just doing it to keep his title run relevant.
LAX were like the 2nd hottest tag team in the world last year, now theyre just reduced to being Jericho's goons.

don't even get me started on how theyre wasting the hottest tag team in the world in the lucha brothers. if they don't want to go with them as tag champs right now, that's cool, but if youre gonna do that, then have them make some runs in the singles ranks. they should be top draws in the singles division as well. im cool with the idea of them not giving out super-pushes, but they cant job as much as the elite guys, seeing how they don't cut promos.

Why does everyone need to put their big fukking logo as the centerpiece of a belt. :stopitslime:

Am I the only one who missed the old WWE/WHC designs?

shyt Drives Me Nuts

Old Designs Looked Like Championships, These WWE Belts Look Like Merch

AEW had a "come to Jesus" moment when they were getting dragged relentlessly for that Dec 18 episode ending and got beat badly by NXT in the ratings that week. The product has been :fire::fire::fire: since that.

For Such A New Company I Think They’re Doing Great, They Need To Chill W The Indy Comedy BS And Beef Up The Women’s Division But They’re Looking Good So Far, They Also Def Need A Secondary Belt Like A U.S Or TV Title

I Got A Feeling This Hangman/Omega Beef Finally Erupts On The PPV Vs The Bucks
