I'm talking those that blew you away, ones that you'll never forget. Mines in order.

1. Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs - Will always be my favourite movie and performance

2. Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood - Just saw this now, this man is something else. Literally man, no wonder why he does movies very rarely.

3. Denzel Washington in Training Day - Favourite actor in his best role

It's pretty hard but narrow your choices

:why::why: he was only in the movie for 15 minutes and still fukkin killed it

Foxx in Ray - when they say he channeled that nikka i really believe he channeled that nikka :wow:

Denzel in Training Day - didn't know he had that type of role/persona in him :whoo:

Nicholson in Shining and One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest - he always takes intense roles to a whole 'nother level :whew:

I'm telling you, he was great in Hannibal and Red Dragon as well but this movie was something else, not even exaggerating but not for a moment was he out of character.

When Clarice walks to his cell for the first time the man is standing there with the menacing/charming face. And when he's in the birdcage and she's escorted away, "Brave Clarice... you will let me know when the lambs stop screaming, wont you?". She runs back and he says "Bye Clarice" and grazes her finger.

Greatest performance ever.

*You can make a case for a couple of DDL performances

*You can make a case for several denzel performances as well...in fact, you could fill up a top 10 list with just DDL and Denzel performances :heh:

and a throwback

:whew:

others that are just as worthy -

Denzel Washington is Training Day is the most overrated fukking performance of that man's career. Only reason people hype it up is because it's the first time he played a villain and he won the oscar for it. I love the movie but people overrate the fukk out of his acting job in that film...

Denzel Washington's best performance to date was as Rubin Carter in the Hurricane.
