what are the reasons for some of you not having any tattoos?

tats are lame and are only a trend for now... I dunno, but unless you're in a gang or something serious, something about tattoos screams impulsive and try-hard. You're not realer because you draw it on your skin... and you're not tougher cuz you let someone stick a needle in you...nikkas go to the doctor's office everyday..

I don't understand what's so important to you that everyone needs to see it or ask about it if it's in a personal area. The things that are important or symbolic to me are personal and they don't need to be broadcasted to everyone. Not just that but I don't want something permanent on my body that I have to get surgery to get rid of.

The other day I saw a girl with an ear of corn tattooed on her arm. NO JOKE. I asked her what it was supposed to mean, she said nothing. I said that's corny .


But really, what a dumb ass.

Now you have corn on you forever. While I'm sure most tattoos aren't this vacuous, I can't help but think the majority of butterfly and tribal tattoos really mean absolutely nothing to people and are just decoration. Poorly thought out decoration at that. But I guess if people want to become walking "art" (used VERY loosely) then more power to them.

This is my reason.
I paint, draw, some tagging, and I've never had urge or strong desire.
That and I can't afford a good tattoo right now.
Dropping 1-2k isn't feasible when I have tuition, books, food, gas, insurance, phone bill, etc.

All I did during HS was wrestling right after school and when I got out at 7-8 I went straight to Boxing/Thai depending on what was being taught at night. Doing the same shyt in college too. I think If I had more free time, I would have gotten tattoos. After I finished HS, I had no interest in tats, at all. I don't knock people with tats though.
