He smoked LL, it wasn’t close, LL fake won because Def Jam was basically running Hot 97, which Nas later exposed, and when they pitted the two diss records against each other miraculously LL’s mid shyt won according to their “votes” that no one saw or heard besides them. Nobody in real life had LL winning that, maybe some old heads that just love L and can’t be objective.

Whoa....Canibus definitely had lyrics. He just tended to spend more effort flexing his lyricism than focus on decent songwriting. And I think that Lupe elevated his formula to a higher level with better songwriting but Canibus was still a beast.A lot of that sh!t Canibus was saying that we thought was alien-level, unbelievable shh sound ass now for real,. If you are a mental case like me and you make up rhymes regularly.. you should have a handful of verses that you can say at any given time (not shyt from records and not from a fukcing notebook). All he had to do was spit some writtens that we haven't heard before, win lose or draw.
It wasn't about him losing. He lost before he walked in. It was about how poorly he did and how boring he was and how ill prepared and out of touch he was. I swear any teenager who been rhyming for 12 months could have done better than that.
