- Hollywood has run out of ideas
- Cloverfield as a series is a scam, the next one will just be another spec script with easter eggs

- Hood movies actually written well are over

Hollywood hasn't ran out of ideas, they've just streamlined film making. Continue on with IPs that prove to be successful and let more original work fall to streaming websites. Audiences helped greatly with this but ultimately it's just capitalism you're seeing at work.
Because of how many good shows there are now, none of them can really stand out like The Sopranos, The Wire, The Shield, and etc did because they were surrounded by trash.
