Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman had a great episode.

Got that old nikka fighting magic users and former students all in the same day type shyt. :mjlol:

I finally listened to you and watched this show….

Meh… it’s ok…. Definitely better than weak ass Lazarus and maybe To Be A Hero and some others..

Not better than FF (Latem 🙏🏾) and Windbreaker

This season is cooked man

I'm only on EP 3 but it's gas rn

China coming to take over the anime world too :wow:

Edit: 4 episodes in and im fully confident he's gonna fukk up anime power rankings this year once more people get hip:wow:
Just watched ep.1

The animation for the cold open was :damn: :whoo: :ohlawd:

Story seems as pedestrian as possible though, let's see how this turns out in the next few :jbhmm:

Plot is as much as you'd expect in the first season of one of these RPG styles shows

But since the episodes are 15 minutes you don't feel like your time's being wasted, like, they're not even bothering to have other characters surprised or shocked at superpowers being at play, double X just getting to it and letting them figure shyt out the hard way

I mean outside of the Ume Chouji fight, Wind Breaker falls on more the generic side then purely bad imo. For the most part, there is nothing like in MHA & Fairy Tail where the former betrays the themes it sets early on and the later overuses the power of friendship where it becomes a joke. Writing for WB on the level of stuff like Demon Slayer & Wistoria. Really generic, which has been done before, but it doesn't deter the action, which for all 3 is great. All 3 easily carried by their animation undoubtedly.

Of course, no one is expecting these shows to tackle themes like you have for Apothecary Diaries, Black Butler or "Sword of the Demon Hunter." this season.

Though Yaiba is def the action show of the season alongside HeroX. (Still need to get to it) Setting aside how easily Onimaru got trolled and raged after Yaiba beat him in a cheating manner. As opposed to shyt like Dragon Quest where the hero gets the sword of defeating evil, here Yaiba gotta use an evil sword. But the key is not to be tempted by the power of a Demon like with Onimaru.

Demons Slayer creates WAY more tension with it's characters it's not even close to those other two. Only thing stepping on Demon Slayer as a product is the actual studio tryna drag the story out when in reality we should've been knee deep in that last arc by now.

Wind Breakers introduced too many characters to give a fukk about without having a compelling backstory for them :yeshrug: somebody could die tomorrow and it won't hit forreal.

As a "hooligan" show Tokyo Revengers back stories shyt all over WB, nikkas actually give a damn about Drakken/Mikey/Baji

I couldn't care less bout none of these WB nikkas

Give WB fighting animation to Revengers and you'd have the perfect gang show forreal

I'm not super hype on Yaiba it's just cool for me right now :manny: not a show I would analyze and take seriously, these boys just got a classic dio/jonathan rivalry

Start watching Madoka Magic. I can already see the Monogatari style directing even in episode 1. I never really watched any Mahou Shoujo series and the only manga I have started reading is Magical Girl Dandelion. (Which definitely doesn't seem like a typical Mahou Shoujo series.)

The two most curious things centers around Homura as Madoka having a dream of her is rather intriguing. Where she also meets Kyubey. Though Homura trying to kill Kyubey, but wants to make a magical girls contract with the girls. Mami being associated with Kyubey and Homura is curious.

Though the most curious part of the episode is the conversation between Madoka and Homura. She shouldn't change; otherwise she will lose those that are precious to here. Well, given the title of the series it's clear she will be a magical girl, but what exactly will happen.

I would agree with you on that. With that being said, there was a step-down for me in Swordsmith arc. Idk if it was pacing, but it just felt off. Fights just felt much better in S1, Mugen Train & Entertainment District.

Honestly, Entertainment District is a super solid shounen arc even before the animation comes into play.

That's what I mean swordsmith arc shoulda been a quick few episodes not a whole season

When you reading it that shyt doesn't even feel like an arc if you know what I mean, just a quick moment to train for the main show. They're forcing these weird beginning and end points in the narrative so they can make all this movie money

It's crazy how even with all the bullshyt associated to it Attack on Titan handled their ending the best (minus the dumb branding as "the final arc" that they did) out of all of the major manga and anime out of the last few years

Isayama was like aw hell naw y'all ain't bouta have me getting death threats for an extra 5 years :whoa: we ending this
