And it's funny because you know they be itching to talk about these shows IRL with people but they know they're in a crazy minority group :dead:
Like what are they even gonna talk about these shows where the ecchi fanservice is the only thing going for it.

Like there are shows like Monogatari, MT, CSM, Dandadan, 2.5 Dimension Seduction all are examples of yes they have ecchi elements to them, but they all use them to tell a story and use various themes.

I remember hearing hype about Chain Solider, I read the first 40 chapters, and I was like the story is cool and the main story & ecchi time being split. 40 chapters later, I dropped it because it was just horny shyt 90% of the time. Like it basically became a softcore H-manga at that point.

You were watching Grieving souls the same season as Dandadan which has much more shameless fanservice then Dandadan which you were shytting on all season

Plus I know you love that Isekai trash

Now you know damn well I was tricked into watching DandannaDandDaDan :whoa:

I didn’t know what I was getting myself into you kinda coerced me into watching that. :francis:

And Grieving Souls just fell through the cracks

You Anime Diddy:russ:

Another girls band anime. Though this one appears to be purely instrumental. Dope first episode. The clear theme this show is going for is that the girls have to hide who they truly are. Hopefully, we get some good music here.

Finishing up my rewatch of "Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary", which was one of the best mystery shows from last year. It even hits better in a rewatch to see the execution of Kobato and Osanai at work.

  • Kobato figures out that everything that happened feels too laid out and Osanai used him as part of her plan and his desire to solve mysteries.
  • The more key points were in Osanai's Summer Sweets plan & how as soon as the incident was resolved she desired for the final thing on her list. Implying the text she sent, she already had. Meaning she did the candy apples despite being kidnapped.
  • Though the more curious point is that Sanae, who Kengo was trying to get out of the gang, was working with Osanai to deal with Isawa.
Now the part of this that gets really strange is that Isawa was planning to go after Osanai based on things that happened in middle school. Which is a certain fact. Now there was no timetable when Isawa would do this. However, Sanae knew this, so in turn she blackmailed Osanai because she wanted out of the gang. Which we knew Kengo was working on. However, this makes Osanai's situation more bearable to understand because she didn't do this out of pure pleasure. Her mentality was fukked in a way.

Where Osanai messed up was not telling Kobato about her plans. After all she used the fact that he would be tempted to solve this mystery and would end up calling the police. There is no doubt we can empathize the audience is meant to empathize with Kobato because he was used as a tool in Osanai's lie. She changed the crime on Isawa so that it is also kidnap with ransom. Overall, Osanai doesn't understand what she has done wrong because no one will find out. She doesn't even realize how fukked her mental is.

The way that Kobato interrogates is one overlooked part in the scene. While their desire to be ordinary is the same, but Osanai jumps to loops to equate each other. Of course, that is now true as Osanai is skipping logic to frame compared to a smart ass that has no confidence in himself. We learn that Kobato's desire to be ordinary has in part to be a confidence issue. When he gets the answer right, he loves it, but negative attention is something he is not comfortable with himself. In fact, the main difference between him and Kengo, besides their build, it is that Kengo doesn't care what you have to say to him. That is not true to Kobato. That is where his desire to be ordinary comes in.

As Osanai mentions how she was scared. You get the sense that her desire to be ordinary perhaps was building a connection with Kobato. She alludes how people think they are in a relationship, which is a lie. Also, how Kobato isn't just a pretty face, which is a lie. While Kobato wants to change and be ordinary, and you could argue turn that lie into a partial truth. The same can be said with Osanai and the lie that they are in a relationship. More so, she wants a meaningful friendship, if not possibly a relationship.

The striking point is when Osanai mentions of breaking off as friends. After all, their desire to be ordinary is the foundation of their friendship, and they are supposed to help each other. However, as we have seen throughout the season, they being friends contradicts their want to be ordinary. More over Osanai wanted Kobato to argue against his typical logical, and he intended to be friends and stop Osanai from leaving. As she mentions she enjoyed the time they spent in the summer. Given that Kobato never did, that is where they break off.

Where these two go from him is interesting. The first is Osanai, and it is clear Urino has taken interest in her. Though tbh it is clear that Osanai has him in the palm of her hands. Unlike Kobato he might not even realize it. Does she even desire to be ordinary or will more happen beneath her schemes? Meanwhile, Nakamaru confesses to Kobato because she realizes the lie that him and Osanai are dating must be over. However, she doesn't realize that him just being a pretty face is a lie. Now, after all this, does he still desire to be ordinary? If not, he could end up falling into some plans of Osanai again.
