One of the more neat and for some other series it is weird is how almost anything can be made into an anime. Hanashura is the former and for a series that is about the broadcasting team, it has been really nice. From the author of Hibike where you can see the similarities in the writing, but it feels like its own story. Studio Bind is animating it and doing the scenes where Hana is doing her recitations very well.

You know what, it was really nice to see Matsuyuki have that breakthrough in this episode. Good on Shuudai for giving him the push he needed. Meanwhile, it feels like Hana just has more untapped potential. It's like when the stage is focused on her, she performs well. Just hope this continues to have more confidence in herself.

A bit of misdirection from the last episode made us think Shura was Matsuyuki's sister, but in reality it was Owari. Despite what Owari dealt with her parents, she adores her younger brother. For him, he wanted to support her and have her back, but he couldn't say. To be fair, in his type of family, I can imagine getting the courage to say what you mean must be hard. I am happy they are reunited.

Now Shura does mention she has something of a younger sister, and it appears that person is Hana. Given a shortening of the title is HanaShura which is their two names. Now translating the Kanji of the title I got "Flowers bloom, just like Shura". Could this be implying we are seeing Hana being the flower that finally blooms much like it did for Shura? It has me curious.

One interesting part of this episode as we got characterization of Takao. More so her mentioning that she lacks people skills. I guess she is aware her attitude can rub off wrong on others. Kind of the point of we have left and right sides of the brain. I guess this episode really showed why Takao's sister thanks Kotori for being by her side more than any so far. I am curious if we get to a point where it forces Takao to take a step back and humble herself.

Furthermore, I was leaning towards that the issue might have been acid reflux. But rather it was the mother poisoning her own son. Which is just beyond horrific. Any parent that does that should serve major jail time, and she is a nurse to add moreover.

"Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Disturbance" is starting to get to the big action of the season. This is getting me hyped.

Fantastic episode. In Kyoto, we see the police have halted the fire from burning from the pawns. Leaving members of the 10 Swords to be forced to make a move. Though what is more notable is Anji saying we only kill who we are expected to kill. Honestly, when you think about, he is the only sane member of the 10 Swords.

Misao is filling in Okina's role as leader of the Oniwaban. Seeing them come together highlights nicely on them working together is a reflection of when they faced Aoshi and his boys in S1. They truly feel like a family, and it is good they are on the same side. In Tokyo, we got Kenshin & Saito going up against Shishio. As Shishio has mentioned, in terms of mental display the other can see the other's plan. Though it is Sano who is the one that catches Shishio off guard with him executing Anji's Mastery of Two Layers. Well, I am excited to see where this goes.

Apothecary Diaries is my favorite anime of the season...again.
That, along with Orb and Hanako-kun are a league above anything else for me.

Tho Hyakkano, "From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated!", SLF & Red Ranger Isekai are all a blast to watch.

Orb has been phenomenal! Even something as simple as the changing perspective in the title sequences really hits; and I normally don’t like anime that switch MCs too often, so this is really special.

I confess I’ve slept Toilet-bound Hanako based solely on the goofy title. I keep seeing it on lists of quality anime now.

SLF and Solo Leveling have been my action anime since both started dropping. I’m finally watching Go Go Loser Ranger, so I put red ranger isekai to the side but I’ve heard a lot of good things for that one too.

The other two on my radar are MD Detective (I can’t even remember the full name but it seems like apothecary diaries in a modern setting. A doctor solving illnesses and crimes); and the girl rock band anime bc I miss Bocchi the Rock.

Well, Hanako-san refers to a Japanese urban legend about the spirit of a young girl named Hanako who haunts lavatories. So obviously, the title gets lost for those unfamiliar with it, which is most of us. It's a monthly series that has been around since 2014 and is easily one of the best ongoing series. Prob the best supernatural series I have read after Monogatari.

Kind of holding on to Solo Leveling like I am for Kaiju 8. Will get to hose one day to binge. Ranger Reject is more like a Deconstruction of the Sentai plot. While Red Ranger Isekai is more a comedy. Both are good. Although S1 of Ranger Reject didn't adapt the manga well and hope S2 does better on that account. (Though for a non manga reader the issue might not be there)

Ameku MD is a good show. It definitely feels they have done their research for offering a Medical Sherlock Holmes experience. Twists are done well.

You are probably referring to BanG Dream. Which has been around for a while. I have been watching starting it from the start. It does fit the Bocchi itch. Although the comedy isn't as good. For the entry that is airing right now there is the route of watching MyGo then to the currently airing one. Another one that could work is Girls Band Cry. The storytelling is very good, but it is a much more serious story than BD or Bocchi.

The main mystery of the episode is interesting. As the Emperor was going through the shrine, you could say he was focusing on what he was seeing. What Maomao explained was how someone from that bloodline would approach it. Obviously, this would be a time when science isn't at the forefront, so a ritual or procedure like this. Though as Maomao pointed out, it isn't full proof as probability is technically involved.

Now Jinshi's past in relation to the emperor is much more interesting. In the flashback, we see Jinshi's mother. Also, his grandmother and father. Though they aren't well shown. Jinshi points out that he thought the current emperor was his father, but is rather his brother. Though I feel the connection between Ah-Duo and Jinshi being swapped at birth is more likely than the current Emperor being his brother. Considering that I believe in S1 they mentioned that out of all the current concubines only Lishu was with the former Emperor. So if we assume that Jinshi is in fact Ao-Duo's son, then it must be true that he is the son of the current Emperor. Though he doesn't seem much older than Jinshi, so I am curious why they would hide it. Though hiding it does make sense to me. Perhaps next week will hold more clues.

Orb with another quality episode :wow:

As Schmitt mentioned to Draka that now he is afraid for the first time. But he will stand his ground for his selfish reasons. His belief in God is wavering for the first time since following through with Draka's plans is more something he wants to do. Sad to see Schmitt go out, and I was curious about the kind of character he was. He turned out pretty solid and my first impression was: He was going to be a bigger villain, so I was pleasantly surprised.

As Draka heads to Antoni, and of course, we know Antoni is someone who is only there for his self-interest. As soon as the topic of heliocentrism came up, you can tell Antoni didn't want a part of it. Good on Draka for staying the course. Though Draka made him realize that it was only his father that viewed heliocentrism as bad. Thus, him changing his viewpoint as he heads the church would allow publishing the heliocentrism book that Draka asks for as it is Jolenta'as request.

NLx7OLp.png

As Nowak comes in, his world comes under him. Antoni basically to Nowak asks him why is heliocentrism bad? Where does it say it goes against the church's teachings? And of course, he has no answers. Antoni is absolute scum for what he did to both Jolenta and Nowak, separating them for his own selfish gains. At this point, Antoni has a point. Nowak remembering the 3 men who were executed under his watch and Rafal. Rafal died for sticking to his beliefs and he was so one who had so much potential in this world. For him to get it thrown in his face that it was just a misunderstanding. That Rafal's life was thrown away for just a misunderstanding. Man, I can't imagine how Nowak is handling learning this, and he still doesn't know the true fate of his daughter.
