Honestly it makes me wonder if it was a blessing in disguise for the anime to be held off for as long as it did. Cause god damn on a technical aspect this episode was beautiful. Beautiful episode to showcase Kyouraku's Bankai.

Badeni is an a$$hole, but man is he a interesting well written character. As Jolenta mentioned regarding reading & writing last week they are special skills in this time that they live in. To read is to understand, but writing is how you leave your mark. I get why he questions why Oczy would want to write because what they have been doing is better to be kept underwraps. Still I do feel like Badeni somewhere deep down is impressed that Oczy would be interested to learning to read & write.
We getting the perspective of Grabowski and him asking for how rainbows are made and then him asking how to explain it to the kids is hilarious. I can imagine working with Badeni is not the most easiest thing in the world. Though before Piast died he dropped what he was writing down. It seems like Grabowski found it and I am intrigued where this takes us next.
So the reason for the scar Badeni has is because of a fight he had with his friend regarding research. In which he killed them. This showcases it even more what Badeni thinks of his research and why his trust with others is at an all time low. Though it is interesting that Badeni says the heliocentrism theory is done, but clearly he is still planning and making moves.
Inquistors aiming to save the heritics? Well that is interesting. They will be training with our old body Nowak.

Have you even watched Orb yet. That and Sengoku Youko are easily the two best shows this season in terms of writing and story. (After all you were the one that said animation isn’t everythingI ain’t know there was finna be a lust for Banana Organs

SLF S2 Episode 8 adapted chapters 76+77. One thing I really liked how expressive they made Rust. Like, she was a cool character in the manga, but I love how they adapted her in the anime. Also, we're getting the debut of Akane.
For Sunraku it was mainly creating a winning condition for himself. Essentially forcing Rust in a position where she would have to take on a hit from Sunraku, and he doesn't mind him getting hit by Rust in the process. After all, when a lightweight and a tank build both do damage to each other, that is what the tanky build wants.
Though, playing Nephilim Hollow ended up being more than just a breather from SLF. But he actually got some useful information out of Rust. I do like the idea of making connections with people in other games. Rust wanted to pilot mechs in SLF, but couldn't find it and decided to drop it. Sunraku plays Nephilim Hollow and now mentions he has some mechs, and you know that has her rearing to get back in SLF. Plus, learning stuff about SLF in another game isn't what you expect, but it shows how big a game SLF is since everyone wants a try at it.

Yeah, it's too long of a delay for an IP they treated as even more important than JJK at the time of its premiere. Though the fact Mappa publicly admitted they made less money than expected with CSM is the big reason why its been in the backburner for longer than normal (for that kind of IP at least).
Is the series still hugely popular since coming back to Jump+? I still haven't started Part 2 yet so I've avoided anything related to CSM for a long ass time. From the outside it kinda feels like you said, they dropped the ball by waiting so long and other series took the void and exploded in popularity. But if the manga is still highly popular, then I'm sure the film + season 2 will be a big hit and put it back on the map. The chance of going nuclear like DS or JJK might've been lost though.

It is obviously not as huge as it was in Weekly Shounen Jump, but still easily one of the most popular in the magazine. Even accounting for part two being slower paced and there is a break every few weeks.
I don't want to say there is 0 chance that the hype for Part 1 can come back, but it requires them nailing the Reze movie to perfection. That just feels tough considering how much the fanbase didn't like the direction of S1. Not to mention, it makes much more sense to maximize on JJK's hype then CSM. Honestly, it might be better to just focus on JJK for anime and leave CSM later to work on.

By far the best episode of the season. Kyouraku has always been my favorite character because he's such the opposite of me. I'm an uptight pragmatic douche because that's what my job kinda requires. He's always been so carefree.
It was dope to see him in his highest form.
