No. It isn’t ecchi. It’s dark and depressing because of the world without going too much in detail. It’s a great show but because of how dark and depressing it can be it is not for everyone.I think I will take on the challenge of watching Naruto and One Piece sometime soon. I don’t know how that’s gonna go.
I’ve also been hearing mad hype about this show Made in Abyss, and might watch that next because it’s pretty short.

So what makes it good?
I really don’t like depressing shyt, but everyone makes it sound good.
One Piece past a certain point is so watered down and compromised in anime quality it's questionable if it's worth watching. After the Marineford Arc it seemed like more than 30% or each episode's runtime got to these huge flashbacks of what happened in the last episode and they'd have like full 2 and a half minute openings. TBH I mostly dropped the anime on Thriller Bark.I think I will take on the challenge of watching Naruto and One Piece sometime soon. I don’t know how that’s gonna go.

The mystery surrounding the story, world and all of the characters is done very very well. Top tier world building and characters.

But look, at least you get to die & know there's an afterlife of some kind for those who are good. Even Hell isn't THAT bad, nikkas had the Buu fight on the big screen with the guards chilling watching. On another note, I ain't never seen anyone get their booty took in the history of the Dragonball franchise.
Berserk, it literally never ends. You spend your life suffering, getting violated, and most likely eaten by something. You finally die, it's over right? Eternal rest or at least oblivion? No nikka, the Idea of Evil is going to play with your soul and use it as fuel to keep the fukkery flowing.
Berserk world is garbage, yes. Not going to refute that at all. However, you KNOW the world is completely fukked and is a garbage heap. You're born into the world, and pretty much told that you don't have a high life expectancy. It's middle-aged fantasy world that is in constant war, and the humans are more fukked up than Game of Thrones people. Random mercs are killing, plundering, all sorts of shyt baseline. I have not seen anyone truly happy in Berserk that wasn't doing some evil themselves.
In DBZ/Bleach, you can have the picture-perfect life. Wife, a couple of jits, nice house with a lot of land. You have a lot of friends, healthy family, everything. Guess what? You just got a promotion and raise at that office job you've been working at for the past ten years. You're now the project manager! You're now in the 1% of the world! You decide to go celebrate with your family, go to the shopping district in nearby Gingertown because that's where your favorite brand of suits are. Suddenly, a large explosion goes off in the shopping center. When the smoke clears, you can't find your family anywhere. You look infront of you and see this:
Before you can even say anything, it drops her to the floor and stabs her with its tail and this starts happening:
You could actually be living the perfect life in DBZ, then everything gets taken away from you in an instant, with the highest level of trauma imaginable. The Z-Fighters are almost always too late to the scene before irrepairable damage is done to your psyche, physical body, etc. Sure things COULD be set back to normal, family gets wished back, but you still have those memories. That phantom pain lingering throughout your entire being.
DBZ doesn't talk about how regular fukking people have to deal with constantly being wished back after dying in the most heinous of ways.

The main character literally teleported to one of his best friend's planet with a nikka that's about to explode, so the rest of the universe is royally fukked. Make it worse, he didn't even wish his mans back. Just forgot about this dude entirely. Bulma can wish for BBLs and magical wrinkle cream but King Kai gets to stay dead.
Not even going to speak on Zeno.
Comparatively, the normal people in BLEACH have it pretty good. The deaths are so minimal it doesn't even warrant a story on the news and there's been like one possible world ending event. Now Fire Force on the other hand...
