Kingdom is great, just stick with it because the early animation is pretty rough but you adjust. It's HEAVY on tactics and political intrigue but has some great moments because they take their time building up to them.

That's a fair comparison but the MC starts off lower and less evolved than Yang ever did. You don't get mass tactics until after a coup, everything leading up to that is more standard.
