Escanor vs Laxus (I've never seen 7DS but i heard Escanor is like that)

Akainu vs Joker (Akainu is a logia type and is strong af, he's washing Joker)

Saitama vs Yusuke (never seen YuYu but Saitama is Saitama)

Jotaro vs Koro-Sensei (of course going with my boy Jotaro Star Platinum ZA WARUDO!!!)

Sasuke vs Daewi (Going with Sasuke of course but i'm not familiar enough with Daewi)

Julius vs Gojo (I've only read like half of JJK but I know Gojo is LIKE THAT so I gotta go with him, plus we never got to see Julius fight seriously fr before he got turned into a kid)

Issei vs Tatsumi (idk never seen either)
Alibaba vs Toshiro (Going with my boy Captain Hitsugaya my favorite Bleach character, never seen Magi tho)

DS is a battle shonen done right imo. The characters are very charming, likeable and the villians are well written.

I'm curious of what you think about the end when you get to it. That last fight had alot of fukkery in it.

Im also of the opinion that Gojo can beat Saitama only JJK characters can handle domains and Gojo can stop attacks coming at him independent of reaction speed.

I gotta say mad respect for buying everything you read. I only have a sub for jnovel club but all the rest im getting for free.

ya I was headed jnovel club route but went kindle route awhile back and have over 100 books then I had got the itch to buy it physical for novels and manga then Amazon decided to delete random titles for some reason without explaining to the places that distributed it like jnovel and yen etc...
Then at times my kindle bookmark would delete so I said physical it is or go kobo or just anyplace digital that isn’t Amazon

I only buy series that I love and will reread same as anime blu rays
I want to own the series i love even tho shyt ain’t cheap

Danmachi easily my number 1 reading series with demon slayer top 5 at this rate but if the anime sticks the landing for the rest of the series oh boy
Danmachi tho if season 3 which is done right so far and season 4 nails it tho

The pinwheel is sustained by wind but also constantly changes directions with the wind. This ties into what you are saying with the free spirit stuff.

As the pinwheel can/will change direction there is still room and time for change. Pinwheels are also mostly a toy used by kids. In a way, they can represent youth, who play with pinwheels but also have room to grow/change into anyone and havent been molded into adults with careers etc. yet.

There was also a pinwheel at an orphanage scene with ed too right? And ed gives it to spike as a gift. The orphanage can be seen as the 1st stop in childhood. Ed handing over the pinwheel could be seen as putting a stop to the peterpan like childhood adventure to go deal with actual family business.

Spike valuing a pinwheel gift from ed shows that he valued having ed around.

good point on the changing of directions. something that Spike/Jet struggle to do, Faye cannot do b/c she's in the middle of an existential crisis, but Ed easily does as a kid w/o responsibilities and no baggage to discourage her. She is the optimism of Bebop, which is generally sardonic in tone.

Also worth noting that Ed is from Earth, which is shown to be a wasteland after the Astral Gate incident (killed 5 billion people). She comes from nothing. Has every reason to be miserable, fail. But is the happiest person on the screen at any given moment and has mastered a skill that is of high value. Can assume that she and Ein go on to achieve great things post leaving the ship.

Spike liked everybody on that ship. Even if he was too proud to communicate it. The next episode after Ed/Ein leave starts w/ he and Jet at a bar, drinking and talking about who left them.
