Ehhhh
show was about neck and neck for me. I enjoyed both a lot. I wouldn't argue one being better than the other.

Lot of nikkas is full of shyt tho.
Cats bytched about GOH being nothing but action and no story, but then complained about FF having too much story to get through.

shyt nikkas complained aboutDemon Slayer too. The orange guy too annoying etc.....plot too simple....etc.

Bottom line, you can't make a good action anime without nikkas picking holes and complaining about it. :manny:

meanwhile you get essays upon essays on how some weirdo shyt like Jojo is supposed to be top 10. :mjlol::mindblown:

Fire Force's first season was bad because even though it was plot, none of us gave a fukk about the characters, and the world was not explained in depth nor was it interesting, and it didn't have action to use as a crutch to offset that. Now it's improving.

I thought Demon Slayer did well enough in establishing the world and a having a initial slow burn, but I did find it a little boring to start. But never did I feel like I wasted my time, and with the first season of FF I felt like I was wasting my time. FF still isn't all the way there yet though.

Licking a face is gay now, what we in middle school still

especially in the context that it happened

Nah that shyt was gay, it's okay to admit it. Anime wasn't made for harlem nikkas. :dame:

It's still a good show overall, but it has an obvious appeal with the LGBT community and it's for a reason. :yeshrug:

Licking someone’s face ain’t gay it’s just weird af

Calling JoJos gay is like calling Prince gay

Just cause it’s flamboyant doesn’t mean it’s homosexual but I forgot a lot mfs think everything’s gay so it is what it is

We just gon have to agree to disagree.

FF 1st season was dope to me characters and all. shyt had mad action. :what:
I think people overlook it, because its not presented in a way that resonates with them. nikkas want a perfect story, perfect characters, perfect plot, perfect fights. I can't remember any show starting off like that. nikkas hype HxH all day, but FF whole first season is better than like the 1st 20 or so episodes (or at least up to the Heavens Arena arc)

The nether realm fights were dope. The Benny and the proto nationalists lil arc was dope an action packed. That show had so many dope moments. I swear it almost feels like I'm watching a different anime than ya'll are. :mjlol:I've been enjoying how the story was slowly unfolding and the plot been on point from day one. Obviously season 2 has been better, but you had nikkas complaining about the 1st episode of that season too. Its like nobody started feeling the show until all the black characters started showing up.

Demon Slayer was awesome from jump too. I felt like the fights got increasingly better, but it didn't end on the strong note that FF ended on. The last few episodes kinda fizzled out whereas FF final episodes went beast mode. They did hype you up for the movie tho.

First time I'm hearing about this tbh. Never met a gay Jojo fan.

One of my best friends go both ways and shes deep into the anime LGBT scene and they go hard (:dame:) for some JJBA. We know its based off Prince and he aint a batty boi but that doesn’t reflect on the fanbase at all, seen many a FB group, discord and cliques that are deep LGBT that love JJBA.

Not saying everybody who likes it is gay but gays really resonate with it. :hubie:

What's the most important thing in an anime to you?

In general, story.

But the genre determines the specifics. Like it's a battle shonen, the power system/world building is almost more important than the story and fights for me. I feel like I enjoy it more if it makes sense to me as opposed to being eye candy.

For sports anime it's about the characters, the actual games and sometimes the story don't matter as much. Comedy its the writing, etc, etc.

Themes. What is an anime trying to communicate and how is it supported.

this is true. but, we can say this for just about every popular anime. Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, FMA, Kuroko, Haikyuu,Tokyo Ghoul all have large gay followings.

hopefully we don't have any Hunter x Hunter fans in here laughing off Hisoka, while also distancing themselves from JoJo.
