JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is intelligent and brilliant, but also bizarre and ludicrous. It’s well written, but also disjointed and glued together. Wtf is that? But for some bizarre reason it works perfectly.
The storytelling is unique, usually shonen are made up of single stories that drag on for so long(ex: big 3), but in jojo, it gives the spotlight to different characters in each part which is independent and has its own storyline, villain, theme; completely different from other parts.
And this is how you keep a show FRESH and hype. Keep in mind this series has been running for over 30 years and it still manages to keep it fresh? hats off Araki.
Also, the fights scenes are more like a puzzle to be solved, none of that power level, explosion shyt. Most characters, their skill comes from quick decisions instead of some sudden hidden power from within.
I stumbled upon it after reading Eternal Sabbath. I was in middle school, lets just say i was too young to read it

I feel like no matter where you start in shounen the tropes start to feel kinda samey.
But jojo showed me a man bite a dog's face off, spit it down it's owners throat then strikes a harlem unapproved pose while tearing out his throat from the inside.
There is nowhere else where you can bask in such glorious weirdness
