I been watching Gundam IBO past few days as its on Netflix, I know its pretty polarizing in this thread. I know the title of the show is iron blood orphans, but damn alot of these kids backgrounds are sad af. There is alot of cheese but then you remember these kids in this show have had nothing all their lives, and its cool for them to experience happiness for the first time ever

I'll always respect this show if for nothing else how it ended. The ending is very commendable.

It's a card game but it's in the format of a traditional sports anime. It's of the same genre as Nodame Cantabile though.

It's about Karuta, a Japanese card game based on 100 famous poems. Many of them start with similar (multi)syllables, players are sitting opposite of each other with rows of cards in front of them. Players have to swipe the card being read. If you take a card on your side it's removed, if you take a card on the opponent's side, that card is removed and you can push one card from your side to the opponent's side. The player who clears his own side completely , is the winner.

The series follows a high school girl called Chihaya who wants to become Queen (the top female player) while two of her childhood friends compete to become Master, but also compete for her affection. Despite it being a niche Japanese card game, it's anime'd the fukk up so it's dope as hell.
