Guess I just don't like that Hina not honest enough with herself, whereas Rui is just a straight volume shooter letting it fly from 3 at any point in time. :yeshrug: I think Hina can avoid almost every L she's taken minus the stalker if she just listened to people.

EDIT:

Anybody here peep SSSS.Gridman? That intro is big fire.

And Slime and Shield Hero still leading the pack. This slice of life shyt is fun for the fukkery but I'm always here for nikkas fukkin shyt up in other worlds. :birdman:

Slime is my shyt :takedat:
Idk who I like most still if had to chose miku but hina tho :wow:

Sol and harem be having so much fukkery cant help but watch :russ:

:dead: at him that one ep putting a damn bow on to get pass teacher tho :mjlol:

I've been rewatching Legend of Galactic Heroes over the past week. Like an two episodes before I go to bed.

Really is the GOAT Space opera by far. Anime or not or at least up there with your Battlestar Galactica. Also makes miss anime of the 80s and 90s that were about a diversity of things and plenty adult shyt besides what seems popular now which is all this high school cutesy shyt. :hhh:

i'm trying to marathon it over the break

i like how it shows you the consequences of war on a microscopic level and how ordinary people are sacrificed for the success of an operation. Reinhardt/Oberstein effectively secured victory over the alliance by draining planet resources, but also caused the death of hundreds if not thousands of civilians who either starved to death or were killed because of justified mutiny

then it gives you a million different perspectives to view the war/political corruption from so you can get every angle of the story and really understand the motivations the people within the factions rather than viewing a person as some soulless extension of their faction.

i just passed the alliance/imperial 2nd battle around episode 16. 2/3 of the alliance forces died and it all started because their politicians wanted to impress the public enough to secure their chair in office. I don't even know how relevant these politicians are to the rest of the story, but the fact that they're all named and you get to hear them explain their rationale for declaring war and then immediately see the cost of their decision is genius.

i just passed the alliance/imperial 2nd battle around episode 16. around half a million people died and it all started because some politicians wanted to impress the public enough to secure their chair in office. I don't even know how relevant these politicians are to the rest of the story, but the fact that they're all named and you get to hear them explain their rationale for declaring war and then immediately see the cost of their decision is genius.
Yep the scope of the show is what is most impressive and also despite having such a huge scope never veers off into incomprehensibility which is a concern when writers have to keep track of a million different characters and archs. It helps make the actual universe feel immersive. My first time around watching it, I was also impressed with the level of political intrigue and ideas expressed in the show. Like I said, I miss shows that you wouldn't feel funny watching as a grown as man and deals with adult topics. In fact its what I think got a lot of folks interested in Anime back in the late 80s- early 2000's. This is a prime example of that.

Also the change in Reinhardt when he started to rely on Oberstein for guidance more and more was one of my favorite character dynamics in the show. Dude was cold blooded :wow:

Still can’t believe I was purely shonen a year ago but the coil got me watching SOL and harem anime now:mjlol: Now I’m Actually invested in watching and reading quintessential quintuplets and domestic girlfriend:mjgrin: Team Miku:mjgrin:

Nino best girl breh :blessed:

Team Nino breh.

And Team Rui. Hina too grown to be acting the way she does.

Edit:
I follow the rule of First Girl(the first girl you see in the anime/manga has the highest chance of winning in the end), so in my brain it's gonna be Itsuki.

But as an agent of chaos, imagine the swerve the whole shyt takes if fukkin Yotsuba is the bride. :troll::troll::troll:

A breh has good taste :wow: keep watching and reading team hina :francis:

If it turns out to be yotsuba then its some troll ending like prison school. The comment section on kissmanga was a fukking mess that day:mjlol: thats was some quality trolling :mjlol: then he did it again with the prologue had people waiting for months and then he did it again nikkas was loosing they mind :bryan:

I can't decide whether the Alliance leadership or Empire leadership was worse. I think the Alliance actually was worse. They both have their issues with the nobility and class stratification of the Empire being terrible but all those Alliance politicians and leaders were garbo. Reminds me of some of our politicians :francis:

I think its the way of the writer highlighting that while they are two different systems, they equally both have their faults.

The Alliance spent years begging Yang to rebel. It was a damn shame. Even though things ended "good", it still would've been better if Yang just took the whole fleet and welcomed Reinhardt into the capital.

At first i was turned off by all the different characters thinking that it'd be hard to keep track of them and their agendas. but the universe is so damn immersive like you said that it becomes easy to understand their motives and the decisions they make

Crazy thing is i'm only about 15% done and I already recognize how Oberstein is turning Rein into a killer and hates how Kircheis makes him soft. he's the most interesting character in the show to me. can't wait to see what he's going to do by the end

He's like Cleveland Lebron right now carrying a front office that keeps putting him in terrible positions. looking forward to seeing how he winds up changing the alliance if at all

It's a real shame that LOTGH has such a small fanbase compared to other trash anime thats so popular. (SAO I'm talking about you )The only reason I even found out about it a few years back was that it was rated in the top 10 in MAL and I read the plot synopsis and was like :ehh:.

It also has the slowest build up ever and the battle scenes look like a 1970s arcade game like space invader or some shyt so I can see why not many pick it up but having said all that it really might be the GOAT anime. The plot has GOT level intracies and the cast is even larger. The themes that it tackles are deeper than anything I've ever watched(that includes anything in or outside anime) It really gives you a new perspective on society and the drama of it all is just amazing.

Reinhardt assembled the greatest squadron of all time . Wolfgang and Reuenthal:banderas:. Yang Wenli on the other hand kicking ass and dropping historical nuggets of wisdom at the same time with his ragtag group of rebels. Rosen Ritter getting up close and personal with the bloodshed :picard:.

I'm sure most here have seen it but if you haven't do yourself a favor and watch it. Get through the first slog of episodes and you'll be hooked :blessed:
