It's almost impressive how much Tokyo Ghoul fell off
You ever heard of the phenomenon of how if you were to place a frog in a frying pan and slowly increase the heat the frog wouldnt move or realize its being cooked alive until its too late?

Thats how it felt to read thru Tokyo Ghoul. In the beginning it seemed quite ambitious and well written. There was never a tipping point I just remember reading the last chapter when it finally dawned on me "huh....that was kinda ass"

Anime or manga tho :lupe:

Anime until I catch up and then maybe Manga after (but from wherever the Anime is at at the current time, not from the beginning)

I finished Alabasta arc and took a break cause pretty much any free time I have on Xbox, I play Red Dead

Ghoul really had juice to it back in 2013, thought it was onto something, hell I even liked ROOT A even tho the finale was awful, just every image of promotion I've seen on s3 since than I've had no interest in watching, I dont recognize a single character in the trailers

Most of the cosplay I had no clue who they were, I'm only familiar with Dragon Ball, One Punch Man, Akira, and Sailor Moon :mjlol::flabbynsick:

I'm about 23 eps into the OG Dragon Ball. I was ready to drop bread on that kid Goku figure where he's running with the milk but it wasn't for sale.

Tokyo Ghoul on that list for sure.

Everything else you listed is piff though. If its your first time watching any of that you'll have a blast.

Finished Wandering Son. Two early teens in conflict with their gender try to make their outer appearance reflect what they feel internally. but in their attempts to be the opposite gender they face ridicule from their peers (freak, tranny), social stigmas against those who don't conform to their gender defined roles and puberty transforming their bodies into what they're trying to distance themselves from. hits on a lot of sensitive issues in the trans community that I didn't think an anime would be able to handle well. You usually see gender dysphoria used as a running joke, crossdressers called "traps" who are almost always male and being fetishized as some forbidden pleasure

only problem is that it's a one cour anime adaptation of a fifteen volume manga. Don't get a true ending nor do you even see the beginnings of when the characters realized they were different from others. Otherwise it's a masterpiece as far as socially relevant anime go
