i think i am burned out

and i know what kill la kill is about, i just didnt think id have that reaction to it

you want something with some class check out something that advertises itself as such

some guys in here were repping Keijo hard as fukk but one glance let me know i got no reason to ever check it out. i might've been the only one watching the legend of galactic heroes reboot but whatever - do your own thing and find shyt that's worth watching. a lot of stuff that's popular is popular specifically because it plays to a crowd that loves the typical nonsense. violet evergarden wasn't anything i'd watch normally but that shyt hit like a truck. some stuff just aint worth watching at all

highschool dxd? never. not hating on anyone who enjoys it but like any other medium you can say certain shyt just aint for you. its not the entirety of the medium though

Ping Pong the animation was really good. Hits home on a theme I don’t see emphasized that often in sports anime - Hard work is not a replacement for talent. Some can wake up out of bed and dominate competition while others will never be great no matter how much they train.

But no one is untouchable. If a talent doesn’t work they’ll plateau and get surpassed by better players. Then it’s up to them whether to apply themselves, stay content or give up because they’re used to winning all the time and don’t know how to handle losing.

and for the characters who weren’t good enough to be a pro, or didn’t have the motivation to be a pro, they still gained beneficial relationships that carried into adulthood and were pushed to grow as individuals through competition. Life still moves on. Not the end of the world if you don’t make the final cut.

I think it’s the best sports anime Ive seen aside from the two boxing greats

If you like Kingdom, Berserk or Golden Kamuy you might fukk with this.

It's got that raw and brutal Berserk golden age feeling.

But I dropped it at the beginning of farmland saga :yeshrug:

Havent read it alot of people recommended it so it's on my list like the cover of the manga tho

Why was this so overhyped a few years back? This shyt wasn't the groundbreaking shyt people made it out to be. :gucci:

Dudes was talkin about this was one of the GOATs. :scust:

What two boxing great? I know about Hajime no hippo, but what's the other one? And as for ping pong you are right. At 1st thought I wasn't going to like it but damn neared cried by the end. Kind of wanted my boy glasses to win :to:

Yeah OPM aint all that

it has great animation but relies heavily on one joke that stops being funny after 20 min

shyt got old to me after the 3rd ep. had to bush it

Mob psycho is waaay better imo

I had it on dropped for years because of the art style. You get used to it though and by the final tournament the matches look as good as any other sports anime

I just wanted to see Smile try his hardest to win. He had all that talent and wouldn’t fully use it until the very end. Peco playing on that knee injury was inspiring too

Like @voltronblack said Ashyta No Joe. I think it has the best story of any anime ever made, but the dated animation can make it difficult to get into
