Apocrypha was one of my favorite iterations of the Fate/Stay series, I liked the complexity they layered over the Grail itself and the War.

Apparently, it has sold over 200 million copies.
I am a big fan. However, this shyt got me like damn, I stopped watching around 200 episodes in. I always felt like the main story would never actually advance, where the series itself became a money grab, while still remaining a good watch/read.
Would enjoy it if all of those fukking episodes were dubbed. I thought the dubbed shyt was nice.
But now that you mention it, I don't know anyone else who's into the series like that.

I keep glancing at it, and have been glancing at it for years. But the premise seems to....... shytty for me to give it a chance.

Give it a chance. The series is actually fire and The movies are always flames. I might actually pick it back up, my only problem is the main plot of the series seems to take the smallest steps in progress because most of the time they focus on solving murders that dont deal with the main story (aka why the series is over 1000 chapters)
I cant think of anime/manga to compare it to because even tho the concept of solving murders is simple and easy, Detective Conan got that type of subject locked down.
I can say its the anime version of sherlock holmes/ law and order. Every episode you trying to guess the killer.
Try it out and let me know. If you have netflix they have the english episodes only which arent that many but give you a taste of the series.

Use to be one of my favorite series to watch on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, OG Jimmy Kudo. I simply cannot watch/read that many episodes/chapters to catch up while it still ongoing. If it ever gets finished I'll put in my bid to watch but now
