nope. they had to pay for my rent then i got a job. i was trying to be independent and i realized if they were still paying my bills, they could still control me. ugh.
i went to college and stayed in the dorm then apt with cousin
then i got an apt with my girlfriend(at the time)

I never realized so many of ya'll didn't do shyt with your lives after high school.

Depends on how you define it.
Left for college at 18 and lived in the dorms for two years.
Got an apartment (with a roommate) at 20. Graduated at 22 and briefly moved back in with them, but I was out within a few months. The second I got a job offer I was looking for a new apartment.
Have been on my own since then.

I said before on the other forum but I moved out at 25 since my girlfriend was pregnant. I really didn't have to move out because my parents didn't trip. I came and left as I pleased, gave them something on the utilities since their house was paid for. I tried to buy a house but by the time the paperwork would have been done our child would have been here. I ended up getting an apartment. We moved in and exactly a week later our daughter was born. It was cool until we broke up and I kicked her out the apartment and kept our daughter. The times our daughter spent the night with my parents it was cool because I had my own place. Some times I didn't even go out. If I didn't feel like cooking I would just get some take out and relax at the crib. It was a good feeling.
