My dad paid $200

no AC
Ceiling interior caved in
No Radio
No Defroster
Driver side window didn't roll down
Passenger side door didn't open from the outside
Gas gauge didn't work (I had to guess how much gas was in the car)
Didn't have any acceleration. It took 20 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour.

Way too much stress for a 19yr to have

The engine caught fire on my graduation day. I was running down the shoulder of I-95 with my cap and gown.

I was 18.. paid $1k for a Mazda Miata

Didn't get my license till I was 18 and saved up for a long ass time to afford that car.

Had a lot go wrong with that car, and I learned TON about fixing cars. Bleeding a clutch, changing an alternator, changing belts, changing brakes and calipers, spark plugs, etc. etc.

My dad was no help during that time period of my life and I remember walking miles to the AutoZone back and forth getting parts and trying to diagnose problems while he was drinking watching TV.

Anyone out there with kids/teenagers it's ok to help your kids
