How so? According to the big ten rules MSU’s record (removing the Purdue loss) plus our head to head would of giving msu the nod over Michigan. If msu and um finished with the same record of 11-1 you don’t go to the big ten championship.

that makes absolutely no sense. You would get the nod for being a bad squad for two decades doesn’t sound right. I would need to read the rules again but Ohio States loss to oregon would of disqualified them because the first tie breaker is head to head, then out of conference record becomes a factor. Longest drought period isn’t a factor
