He'd be taking less money to play with worse teammates just to prove something to the haters. He's hard to figure out tho.
Yea he is hard to figure out. I could see him leaving just for the experience of playing somewhere else, like New York. But if it all comes down to basketball, I think he'd stay. The money is there of course, so he will get the most here.
I don’t think he has the best work ethic. I remember a story last year about how he thought coach proclaiming a day off really meant everyone could take the day off. KD had to pull him aside and school him that that’s only for established heavy minute players and vets. If your a rookie or end of the bench guy you still gotta come in and get your work done if you want the coaching staff to take you seriously.
