off of the first spin.

Chef Dreds through to Old Groove is fire. (could have did without that bit at the end of Old Groove)
after that, out of the last four actual songs I only cared for May Store.

Benny and Conway went crazy. Gunn played his part. beats are ok, nothing special.

The beats get repetitive after a while and makes the tracks kind of boring.

Well you won’t have to hear this sound again. There’s no records sampled on this album. Daringer made all of the beats from sounds made by Beat Butcha. I do agree that it makes the album’s sounds sound less...versatile (for lack of a better word). But I also think it’s pretty dope that he was able to make an album that sounds like this without using any samples. So there’s a consistency to the sound that I actually am enjoying.

But I can see how it could get repetitive since it’s not a typical situation where they can put wildly different sounds on the album. They were very constrained here due to avoiding sample clearance issues.

Overall I’m impressed. I’ve been critical of Daringer in the past but I think he did a good job here making a bunch of beats that sound like they’re sampled from records when they aren’t.

And like I said, there won’t be another Griselda album to sound like this. At least not for a long time. I’d be interested to see a ‘behind the scenes’ on how they did the production here.

Daringer been extremely hit of miss since he put all those trash beats on HWH4 and GOAT.
I'll give him a bit of pass because I think I heard it mentioned on that video preview that he was working off all original music Beat Butcha put together.

Benny’s flow on Cruiser Weight Coke

:wow:

that was the first joint I felt iffy about and then he came in and saved it something lovely.

You didn’t fukk with the beats he did on Tana Talk 3?

IMO that was some of his best work.
