Looking at their history electorally and the recent strike, I beg to differ.
They've voted consistently Democrat for a long ass time and only recently did they vote Republican after voting for Democrats that hardly helped them. The Teachers' strike has a lot to do with health insurance and they are dealing with a bunch of medical problems (spend the most on healthcare, opioid epidemic, black lung).Explain

The teachers have done a good job getting the public on their side by having these food drives for the children who relied on school lunch.
I'm hoping Joe Manchin's name recognition works against him since he also was the governor before going to the Senate and was part of the same problem exemplified in that clip as he called the teacher's strike being about petty politics.
Her message should resonate but we shall see.
