North Carolina Classic :blessed: just b/se it exist and put the state on hip hop map, not b/se it was a really amazing album or anything.

When I found out he was LITERALLY from round the way, I was like we made it :wow:

Yall NY, NJ, PA, CA, TX, GA, TN, LA, FL, IL, MO, OH folks had 28 years of artists to represent your areas and all NC listeners could do was support good music from wherever.....but to have your home state, FINALLY in 2001, with an artist with a major studio album and a huge single was SUCH A BIG MOMENT as a NC Hip Hop Fan! :ahh:

"ghetto d", "400 degreez" and especially "e.99 eternal" are all better than "ready to die".

not sure what aspects of Doggystyle or Ready to Die you're looking for in a southern or midwest album. Classics that were absolute mainstream smashes? E.99 would certainly fit that. TM101 would as well. Though only Jeezys was a debut (technically) like Big and Snoop.
