I hate this fukking guy. He's the LUCKIEST player in NFL history. He only ever made it to the league because he put up silly numbers in Mike Leach's clown show offense. Imagine a 5'9 receiver running a 4.65 getting drafted today. Hell no. Got cut from his first team. Did nothing with his second team, just enough to get moved to the Pats where he THEN went on to put up silly numbers for the two best QBs and offenses in the league during his tenure. I swear to fukking god if he gets voted to the HOF the whole institution is null and void.

40 times are overrated. The most important things as a receiver are how well you run routes and how quickly and seamlessly you change direction. Trying to just use your speed to blow past the cb is how dudes don't make it in the league. Unless you have elite speed, by nfl standards, then you need to know how to run routes.
