Valanciunas being gone also has helped Brandon Clarke's revival, as he can play his more natural position of an undersized 5 alongside Jaren instead of trying to be a stretch 4 with Jonas. Once Jaren came back from his injury someone had to go and it was Valanciunas. Adams doesn't require nearly the amount of offensive looks Jonas did, which in the current teams case isn't a bad thing
