These are not the same rosters from then, and Cleveland has an entirely different coach. Idk why you're using two years ago to set an expectation for now.
Why can’t I compare them?

Cleveland still has the same core of Mitchell/Garland/Mobley/Allen which we beat in 5 games 2 years ago. Our roster is supposed to be better than back then. We’ve traded all those picks and players to be contenders yet somehow we’ve let a team we beat 2 years ago completely lap us to the point where it looks like we’re not even in the same tier as them. That doesn’t make any sense. How is that even possible?

Alright yall cap and trade experts. It’s not realistic considering how much we gave up to get them

But how and for who could we trade bridges or OG for?

Those two are redundant as fukk

I honestly just think we need Brunson and towns surrounded by shooters

Honestly...not sure if that's an option but I'm legit surprised no one has tried to get Myles Turner out of Indy TBH.

Hart Deuce Mitch Drafts picks. And/or OG Bridges

Still opportunity and time to improve the team

Cleveland is ready now. Maybe the Knicks next season

Few things:

I think Thibs has peaked as the coach of the Knicks & the FO should be looking at possible replacements next season or when a viable replacement is on the market. His lack of offensive creativity & the defense have been terrible to say the least. The crazy thing is, he's grown on me & has changed aspects of his coaching I didn't think he was capable of but I think we've finally hit the wall with him

There's absolutely no reason why the defense should be this bad this season & opposing teams can consistently have rain parties when it comes to 3's & pretty much have their way in the paint. The thing is, the defense has been consistently bad whether it's allowing dribble penetration or wide open 3's. It's the same stry with these major L's we're taking

Who would've thought that losing Ihart & Divo would DRASTICALLY change the makeup & DNA of this team's identity. There was so much more dog & fight with this team last season where I was confident in 4th quarters of games we'd be down in, that we'd make a run, get consistent stops & give ourselves a chance to get the W.

Something has to change & Mitch coming back isn't going to solve these major issues

Hunter and Jerome came off the bench and blew the game open in the 1st quarter. Cleveland's bench is hands down better than it was.........two years ago

By the same token, we used to have a bench (IQ/Obi/I-Hart/Josh) that would come in and change the temperature................two years ago

Cleveland has morphed into the best 3 point shooting team in the league, they shot 33% from 3 when we beat them.........two years ago

We weren't missing 2 of our 4 best defenders with another one just playing his 1st game in a month.......two years ago

They have a better coach now than the one they had...........two years ago

Mobley is an All-Star now when he was barely old enough to drink when we beat them..........two years ago

Cleveland didn't have the continuity of playing together that they have now..........two years ago

I could keep going but whats the point when all this shyt was.............you know.....two years ago

I'm not panicking either, but I'd be more comfortable, if they can avoid getting swept in the regular by both Cleveland and Boston.
We play Boston & Cleveland 3x in April. 1 vs Boston at MSG. 2 vs Cavs with one at MSG, one in Cleveland. And they scheduled both our Cavs games on the 2nd night of a back to back :why:
