I was a bit annoyed with Thibs in this one. The bench came in and gave great minutes in the first half, and that makes sense on the second night of a back to back. But in the second half, Thibs clammed up and barely trusted those guys. These are the moments that I'm begging Thibodeau to find five more minutes for a couple of guys: so Mikal Bridges doesn't have to fight through more screens than any defender in history; or Brunson has a bit more explosion when we need late buckets; or KAT's thumb takes a bit less trauma; or Josh and OG cover a little less ground on a nightly basis. That shyt adds up across 82 games.
The Knicks got the win, and they're a top-six team according to their record. But I think they could be as good or better by trusting guys when they have a hot hand or look energized off the bench.
