They can't defend the three. It's bizarre. It's a combination of bad rotations, miscommunications, and picking the wrong players to leave open. But in the past couple of weeks, Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Joe, and Malik Beasley have all TORCHED them from three. Thibodeau can only do so much to fix that. It's up to the players.

KAT hurt his thumb...a jam at best or a fracture or tear at worst. Precious was bad as the back-up.

Throughout Thibs tenure here they haven't been good at defending the 3pt line but this season has been especially awful.

Wingstop ain't stoppin shyt :martin:

Them cocksuckers in the front office better be working on some shyt. Something has to be done by the trade deadline.
This year is the dress rehearsal and I think the organization knows that. We desperately need a new cap cycle to fit some more guys into the roster cap wise. This team just needs to continue to gel as much as possible and make some noise in the playoffs. Next year is when we go for the gusto.

The players need to fix their communication issues on defense & their rotations. Every game I see KAT trying to cover the perimeter way too long when opposing teams run a pick instead of hedging so that the main defender can catch up which causes a breakdown. Mitch & Sims are very good at doing this. The team's not in sync on the defensive end & it shows on the court & I wish I knew how much time/effort they're putting in at practice on that end because it seems like not enough

Exactly!! We'd been saying this for years but like you said, this year has been a special kind of bad. Last season we were way more in sync on the defensive end. It starts with communication out there & I hope they're practicing it

If you watch those last two possessions that lead to Beasley threes, Brunson was trying to communicate with OG both times down to switch onto THJr before he came up to screen for Cade........
The communication on switches and screens is really busted right now. I don't want to blame egos or individual concerns, but I'm not in the practices or film sessions to know what's happening. OG didn't communicate well, and Josh Hart flying to THJ twice suggests that he expected a player to rotate to Beasley. Ironically, I really think Mitch might help with cohesion because he's so good in drop coverage that the rotations are easier to make.

But that's Mitch before he got hurt. We can't even be sure that he'll be the same player...and I don't like KAT in drop coverage at all. I said as much to Clyde Frazier and he gave me a look but bit his tongue. I took it as a co-sign :mjlol:
