According to multiple sources, Karnisovas had two deals for center Nikola Vucevic fall apart Tuesday, forcing the front office into a complete reset that might result in Vucevic staying with the Bulls for the rest of the season, then being shopped during the summer.

One of the sources stressed the situation remained fluid. But as of game time Tuesday against the Heat, there was no momentum for a deal to be done and no new talks with another team.

If the bulls trade lonzo I’m never watching them again unless they luck into Flagg or Bailey :yeshrug:
Zo is going to have options as an UFA this summer and would anyone blame him if he didnt end up back on a total rebuilding Bulls team? I have a hard time imagining either side thinks a deal makes sense this summer

He’s going to go to either LA or play with his brother in Charlotte.

Stein said the bulls value lonzo and want to re-sign him. He has the best +\- on the team and plays the least minutes he impacts wins

Getting rid of everything is hinkie sixers status. Ball>>>>>wakk “2nd round draft capital”

does he want to stay here long term though? play through a full rebuild? I dunno, maybe he likes it here, not a ton of pressure, can keep ramping up post injury. I gotta imagine Zo has some competitive juices still and wants to win games. The way he plays, it should be contributing to a winning team. He can be a valuable role player on good teams

You sign Zo to a team friendly deal and then trade him if that's what you want to do.

Who is going to give him more than a year contract this summer with his injury history? He probably values how the Bulls waited for him and will listen to an offer

They valued getting their pick back more than anything else because they have 0 intention in losing games.

This is something i do dislike about the NBA. its not like football where you can foster a culture of winning or w/e.

if you don't have the players you just going to be ass, period. But being ass doesn't even guarantee a reprieve via draft like other leagues :dead:

now you have to pray on some pinballs. woops you were the worst team but now you picking 4th and missed out on the 3 generational players ahead of you. guess you'll just be garbage for 3 more years.

and there could be a part where he feels very comfortable with our training / coaching staff since we saw the full rehab and has some trust there. it’s been a tough road but the Bulls handled themselves well during a very extended rehab. I’d be all for Zo coming back, his play only makes others better. Literally every team in the league can use a guy like him (but yeah he’s probably going to have to take a 2 year deal with only the first year guaranteed)
