And the person who is in the picture isn't "black face", she's supposed to be lil Wayne.

So what's off limits?

You can't dress as a Muslim for a "laugh"?

Could you wear a fat suit under a white suit, black your face and go as biggie in his last video?

Is that racist?

I didn't even think people took Halloween costumes this serious.

And if I was gonna go in costume, I wouldn't really worry what people was gonna think if I thought it was ok and not in poor taste.

Like I said, is it really that serious?

black face is not a costume

black face is not a person

there will be no line of demarcation with respect to this topic. that is all.

Pretending to be Black by doing the exact things that qualify particular racist stereotypes that have a long history is going to be offensive in pretty much any context. So is pretending to be a Muslim, if done in the same way.

I can't believe people are out here trying justify blackface and yes, for the most part if you have to make fun of someone elses culture to make a Halloween costume then it shows your true colors and what you really think. A lot of so called 'progressive' white people really show their true colors on Halloween.
