No I did expect the soul music...I love soul music....I did not expect the dance hall music...Because it's not so big in europe.

Let me rephrase..

I heard soul music and dancehall everywhere and I expected the same for hiphop. And for all kinds of reasons Hiphop not being dominantly present in NYC as a whole was a surprise for me...

this was the first time i went to the states...so yall got to give me some slack if things sound stupid
