The key to behavioral interviews is to walk in knowing the 5 or so stories about yourself that you want to tell the interviewers. Just use the behavioral questions as an excuse to hit your points.

so in other words ...

the bw did not have something against you, and the only way her race played a role was in her knowing she had to actually work and do the job well to maintain her position and ended up being negatively characterized possibly by stereotypes

whereas the white guy just sat back doing the minimum and still came out like a white hero? :ahh:

Well I know she didn't have anything against me just jitters. You know how you answer a ? And it don't come off as believable.:dwillhuh:

if you were nervous as you say, then it is very possible that you sounded like you weren't the most confident at your job or believable. maybe even that you were trying to hide something.

there have been times i was nervous, told the truth and even sounded unbelievable to me. that was my issue. and the race or gender of the person i was telling it to had nothing to do with it. I just had to learn better interview skills for various situations

next time drink something to calm you down or take a pill to calm your nerves. just don't get hammered, and you will do much better.

I was told to let them talk and just be attentive. You ever exaggerated on your skills?

You know how you get nervous trying to explain those situational questions.

"Tell me about a time"
"When was the last time"

I still get nervous when I think I done a good job I don't get the job. When I think I done bad I get the job.:yeshrug:

Man I have been to so many job interviews I feel like I can answer those kinda questions in my sleep. 99% of the times, u know those questions are coming. Normally, I hate talking about myself, but for that bread, I can rattle off answers to mad scenarios.

You ever exaggerated on your skills?

they exaggerate on how nice the job will be, so of course i exaggerate on my resume and characteristics

interviewer: how would you deal with being late to work?
me: it's hard to be late when you're always 10 minutes early :jawalrus:

i don't know the person from my resume but damn it i'd hire her :wow:
