Went on this job interview this morning

I've been in IT for almost 5 years now at tier 1

The pay is good but I would like to advance to tier 2 or 3 or hell I'll even take a desktop job. So I went on the interview dressed clean with copies of my resume. The company is a large banking center so thats an upgrade for me. I interviewed with an older white guy and a professional black woman. The older white guy was impressed the sista was not. She was doing everything in her power to discredit me and tear down my credentials. So the interview ended and she acted like she didn't want to shake my hand. She was looking at her watch throughout the interview. Thats not the bad part the receptionist was this rude black chick.

I still get nervous when I think I done a good job I don't get the job. When I think I done bad I get the job.

The key to behavioral interviews is to walk in knowing the 5 or so stories about yourself that you want to tell the interviewers. Just use the behavioral questions as an excuse to hit your points.

Well maybe she won't trying to discredit me but wanting full detail. And how do you handle those ? when you really don't have an example? I was getting nervous. Cuz I didn't have details. I really should polish my interview skills.

That's how I felt after I got interviewed for my IT job. The whole ride home I couldn't stop thinking that I fukked up and I wasn't getting the job.
I was happy as shyt when I got that phone call

the bw did not have something against you, and the only way her race played a role was in her knowing she had to actually work and do the job well to maintain her position and ended up being negatively characterized possibly by stereotypes

whereas the white guy just sat back doing the minimum and still came out like a white hero?
