We'll probably never see a running back win the NFL MVP ever again to be honest

NEW ERA
With running back committees, lopsided passing vs running team ratios, injuries, and a rush to give Seyton Manning the award every year he steps on the field, we probably won't see another RB win the MVP award brehs

Long gone are the 2006 LT years
Long gone are the 2005 Shaun Alexander years
Long gone are the 1000/1000 yard seasons of Priest and LJ
Long gone are the DVD trio of Dunn-Vick-Duckett

Sad times brehs :to:

Looks like they're trynna give Seyton yet another MVP award. All these nationally televised games in addition to teams completely fukking up at the end of games and letting dude easily come back, it's clear as day the fix is in. They really gonna give this fukker his 5th :to:

To be honest tho, I wouldn't mind if JJ Watt won it. Or Arian Foster

It's a shame all that most of the elite backs in the league are stuck on average to bad teams (CJ2K, AP) while the others are stuck on teams with coaches that won't give them the damn ball (Shady McCoy, Mighty Mouse Ray Rice)

They'd have to have a great season(like 1500 yards and up) on one of the top teams in the league.

Chris Johnson wouldve won MVP in 09' but his team was 8-8. I thought Bree's deserved it anyway to be honest

I doubt Peyton wins MVP unless the Broncos go like 12-4 and the Packers, Giants and Pats win only like 9 games.

He's had comeback player of the year wrapped up since he first stepped back on the field though.

You can't say he didn't deserve it every year he got it although other players may have been deserving too.

Peyton wins MVP just for being alive. The standards used to give him a couple of those were never used for anyone else. Peyton wins MVP by default absent someone else doing some out of the world shyt.

:smh:@that last one over Brees.

A Rb would have to run for damn near 2300 yards to win MVP anytime in the future. As pointed out earlier, it is a QB's award now.

I still think Foster has a shot at an MVP award solely off his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield as well. More touches, more yards, more of an impact, etc.

Rodgers might get his second MVP at the pace he's on now though.

Yup...

RB bout to be the new FB lol...

I was just tellin my boy I missed cats like Priest (with that td dance one hand on head thing lol) vintage Tomlinson, that 2005 Shawn Alexander, CJ2k (when he ran for 2k lol) those cats had me excited about fb. Always good to see a RB do his thing if you ask me, so it sucks that the position is being thought of less and less but such is the NFL. WR may be the next position to start getting MAJOR love by the media (if it hasn't already)

You don't get bonus points for "would have."

He won one more game.

The Colts were 8th in points allowed.

The Saints were 20th.

Granted the year before was more egregious.
