Yeah, they hired him because they though his fast paced offenses would sell tickets and even attract Lebron.
So when we didn't get him and got Carmelo instead that plan sort of flopped.

I think Phil was going to come back. But once they went with D'Antoni, Phil had to save face and claim he didn't make a decision at the time.It's absolutely ridiculous, how they hired him over Phil Jackson.
