u know much money was made with labels using them...southwest wholesale..

1000 was easy for a package with pen n pixel...they worked with ya budget too..if u didnt have the stack..but the dope game was wide open back then so a stack wasnt shyt..

then southwest whole sale..200 dollars witll get u ya upc isrc codes n scans....20,000 cds.

10,000 cds for albums and like 500 for singles pressed that goes to sw accounts..like sam goody ..circuit city warehouse music n cd warehouse nationwide...out of state will get like 30-49 cioues...but regional will get more...

the remaining 9500 cds is yours...move yaself out the trunk..or drop em off at mom n pops

n with the pen n pixel package..take it to sw wholesale n they will give u x amount of posters n flyers ..like say 300...150 goes to them n they put em in their account...u get the others...

u had boys cut out the mom n pops...n kept the 9500 n sold the cds themselves 8 a piece...76000 go back do the same deal..book shows and do the same thing on the road...152k easy

southwest started fukkin up...cats who were regulars...n making money started hustlin the connect..front me a package n i get back to u type shyt...southwest started losing money...their prices never changed but the clients get a buzz n get locked up n southwest never get the money owed..

n u had legit labels like suavehouse suckafree n cash money...taking loses because sw had to go bankrupt...those 3 labels were owed millions when southwest went under..

tony draper once they got the sony/relativity deal...he continued to use southwest...

if flip and cash money never signed a deal they would have been fukked like alot of labels...its was once 4000 labels in the south..southwest went under only a handfull remained

one label wreckshop records...fat pat esg big moe nem...dwreck fukked up ...interscope came calling due to esg shinin n grindin album..they messed that up

big moe was up next...he was sellin over 100k his debut..priority came...moe signed asap...wreck said the numbers 4 the label wasnt right...couple yrs later wreckshop dead...2005 when southwest went completely under they did too..

Makes sense most those “obscure” super underground dudes like Big bear completely fell off when SW went down....most probably went back into the dope game....shyt you can’t even find anything on Big bear anywhere, no videos no nothing nikka prolly in the feds.

Breh, I've been saying this for years. That "Player Hatas" track :banderas: guess they fail to see the genius that lies in me

Gotta repost this:

Big Bear is surrounded by Big Bears. This could be read in a couple of ways. It can be seen as a negation of his character. By seeing actual big bears around him, we're reminded of the fact that he himself is not actually a big bear, but a human being.

The pleasures of life are seemingly not enjoyed by himself, but by the bears surrounding him. The cigars they're smoking are bigger, their diamonds are shinier. They've got huge cups filled with, probably alcohol. Big Bear on the other hand is looking thirsty. The smoke the bear on the right is blowing is heading to cover Big Bear's face. A very self explanatory imagery of a mirage. It is like he's tearing himself away from the Bear on the left, their robes still attached to each other, but ready to rip into independence.

For all the nutritious fruit and cigars on the table, Big Bear doesn't seem to be enjoying himself much. As we all know, capitalism forces us to put on a mirage everyday. Like Big Bear, we have to put on a persona to survive because the raw reality is too soul crushing for us to bear.

This album cover seems to signal a small proletarian revolution with Big Bear releasing himself from his persona, no longer enjoying capitalism's promises but ready to be himself. And when you have reached who you truly are, the call for liberation will ring. True liberation cannot be enjoyed alone, as long as the masses don't profit from the same thing. But simultaneously, the name Big Bear is dripping in honey, a sticky substance. It signals how hard it is too let a persona go once you've established it. The bears behind him can be seen as gatekeepers, keeping him trapped in capitalist ideology. Big Bear is ready for a proletarian revolution, but has to battle himself before he can battle for the masses.
